Announcement of Next Major Seminars & Leading Media Coverage

September 19, 2007 – London, United Kingdom – Following a productive first half to the year, KWP [of The Stinger Report] hopes to continue with a series of conferences and magazine features. The influential Annual Conference of Visitor Attractions in London, the expansive Leisure Industry Week exhibition in Birmingham, and the highly respected Museum Association Exhibition in Glasgow, will be supported by KWP seminar presence; while leading consumer games publication Edge Magazine is to feature an article on amusement, information for which was compiled by KWP.

 The Leisure Industry Week (LIW) conference and exhibition on the 25th -27th of September 2007, the event becoming an important date on the European exhibition calendar, encompassing the cream of the fitness, leisure attraction and beverage trade at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, UK. Marking a second year of support KWP will present a show starter 10-minute conference session on “What’s Hot” on the show floor and in the application of leisure technology.

KWP has also been invited to co-present in the Technology session at this years’ influential Annual National Conference of Visitor Attractions (VAC) on October 16th, 2007. This one-day event is attended by around 400 industry professionals ranging from the heritage, museum and parks sector at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, London – KWP to present the application of tracking and information technology in visitor management at attractions.

Following KWP’s extensive support of the ‘attraction – education’ cross-over industry, the consultancy invited to present a ground breaking seminar at the premier international event on the development of this industry. The Museum Association Annual Conference and Exhibition is the largest museum and gallery event in the UK, if not Europe, with over 1,000 museum and gallery professionals coming together to discuss the key issues affecting the sector. KWP presenting their session on the 23rd of October 2007.

Supporting a full diary of conferences in Europe, KWP has also been busy on the magazine front. Following on from its last report on the amusement scene back in 2002 for Edge Magazine – the leading multi-format consumer games magazine by Future Publishing with a 35,145 ABC – KWP’s Kevin Williams has again written an overview of the amusement scenes growing re-insurgence, carrying out a series of interviews with leading video amusement executives; the overview to be drafted into a final feature by Edge editorial team – to be published this month.

The KWP owned e-newsletter service ‘The Stinger Report’ has seen increased support, with syndication at InsideCoinOp.com, an online industry news portal, and an agreement for selected features to be re-printed in the leading UK amusement trade publication InterGame, focused on Stinger coverage of international amusement venue site visits. The Stinger Report celebrating over 3,000 subscribers to the free, advertiser supported emailed news and views service
