At this years Amusement Showcase International 2008 event (March 27th-29th in Las Vegas, NV) they are going to attempt something that they never have done before – allowing the public to take a glimpse at the show (if only for a brief time). According to the press release:

…the show will be open to the public by special invitation only and for a limited time March 29, noon to 4 p.m., in Hall S1 of the Las Vegas Convention Center.

On top of this the AAMA is sponsoring a couple of tournaments – one for the public and the other for a Celebrity Charity Event. Both are intended to bring more positive coverage to the coin-op industry. Which games the competition will be held on depends on what is offered by the different exhibitors but either way it sounds like a lot of fun.
