Do you live in Texas and love pinball? Then you’ll be happy to know that the 2008 Texas Pinball Festival is taking place this weekend on the 14th-16th in Grapevine, TX. Over 135 pins will be at the show, from new to vintage games all set to free play. On top of that they will be for sale so if you find something that you would like to add to your collection then this may be the place to find it. In addition to showcasing these pins, there will be plenty of tournaments (sponsored by the International Flipper Pinball Association) taking places where players can demonstrate their skills against each other and win prizes. The organizers of the Texas Pinball Festival are pleased to announce the return of the lone star state’s largest pinball & gameroom show, the Texas Pinball Festival. The 2008 Texas Pinball Festival is being held the weekend of March 14th-16th in Grapevine, Texas at the

Hilton DFW Lakes Executive Conference Center , next to Grapevine Mills Mall.

Over 135 vintage and new pinball machines, classic arcade games and slot machines will be for sale and set on free play. Try your pinball skills in the Texas State Pinball Championship on the brand new Wheel of Fortune Pinball Machine made by Stern Pinball Inc. Enjoy a variety of other adult and kid pinball tournaments throughout the weekend to test player’s pinball skills against others for trophies and cash prizes. The Texas Pinball Festival Pinball Wizard, Classic & Electro-Mechanical Tournaments are a sanctioned event in the International Flipper Pinball Association tournament circuit, where players can earn points to elevate his or her world ranking among pinball players across the world. Coin-Op Swap Meet Saturday morning. Vendors selling parts, supplies, equipment and memorabilia all weekend. Pinball artist, Greg Freres will be giving a presentation Saturday as well as signing autographs and answering questions from the audience. Door Prizes for pinball related memorabilia drawn hourly throughout the weekend, including a grand prize raffle drawing Sunday awarding a full size, coin operated Judge Dredd Pinball Machine.     I plan on being at the pinball festival this weekend. Just look for the guy with the Varcade Entertainment shirt on. This will be my 4th year to go and every year it gets better and better. I highly recommend it. Hope to see you there!
