I just played this in a Maryland, U.S. Dave and Busters arcade.

It was fan-damn-tastic. Not only were the visuals and the textures IMMACULATE, it's pumped to the absolute brim with fast-paced action. The sound was also clear and crisp, and I'm not just talking about the FX, I also mean the actually rather good voice acting.

The game does a great job of making you feel like you're a part of the unmentioned SpecOps team by congratulating you for pulling off good hits on fast or tough enemies.

As for the setting, it's actually very close to what I imagine the normal armed forces in the Metal Gear series go through, with more or less the same amount of military superscience, complete down to unmanned war machines, both giant and man-sized.

My only complaint? This game is really VERY short. You'd probably only need 5-6 credits at maximum to finish the game, and that's if you're an average player.

played this a week ago in trocadero in london picadilly, i must say, at first sight it was awesome and proceeded to get some change and played it.

actually completed 3/4 of the first stage with 1 credit on my very first try which i thought was relatively decent since i havent played any shooting games for quite sometime.

the only beef that i have with it is that the 'reaction' to go into 'shielded' mode is not instant like time crisis but has a delay like 1/2 sec or so. other than that i think this game is a must for peeps who likes shooting at large screens lol

I found this the other day in 2 arcades in Bridlington (in UK) and I thought it was absolutely f**king fantastic. £11 I spent on it (11 credits) and I don't regret it. What amazed me though is that it seemed to come out of nowhere to me; it replaced the Time Crisis 4 machine completely in one of the arcades; and that it was amazingly in two arcades (both right next to each other), which isn't really common from my British arcade experiences and also how it came from nowhere.

I cannot wait to hear whether this'll be released for PS3 or not.

$800 bucks for a freaking plastic gun? For $800 bucks you can buy an AR-15!

Look, I know that the gun has to be built up to certain standards to survive the beating that it gets in the field, or in the arcade, but come on, if it were metal, or something along the lines of "Silent Scope"'s gun I could possibly see $800 bucks, but not for crappy plastic.
