Hot on the trail of their showcase at IAAPA, Russian entertainment outfit Trans-Force has announced a new interactive entertainment platform for kids that combines entertainment and education into one package that is intended for any sort of facility kids my frequent – from FECs and other gaming zones to zoos and aquariums. Called Kid-Force, this interactive theater will work for one child or a group and it can run a variety of different games in a relatively small space (10 square meters). According to the release:

n either event you are free to choose voyages of discovery in Space, Underwater, Pre-history, Battle-mission, Fairy-tales etc. etc. All the participants get involved and become part of the interactive 3D environment. They are able to control the space ship and the route that voyage should take, fire rockets in attack or defence, take pictures of virtual world inhabitants and communicate with them, decide where to go and solve different quizzes.

It might be motion-based like their Trans-Force platform that was shown at IAAPA, but it certainly could be quite an attraction for places that are looking to install something more interactive as part of the experience. More details on this one after the jump, discuss it on the forum or visit the Kids-Force website.

We live in the twenty-first century. To most of the older generation this is a high-tech era but the younger generation has embraced it as the ‘norm’ and who feel comfortable with the changes that technology brings. One only has to look at the time spent by younger people on their PC’s to be convinced that the demand for high tech education and entertainment is already with us. Imagine, if you will, a 3D virtual-reality complex combined with interactive technologies which may be immediately adapted to educate or to entertain by simply using different software. Now again, imagine if you will, such a complex installed, up and running, for as little as €79,000.

Kids-Force is an awesome virtual-reality experience which will fit into most indoor venues – kids rooms in hotels, children’s café in entertainment centers, autobahn rest areas, areas where a waiting period is enforced e.g. airports, an interactive exhibition room in an aquarium or an educational class in a museum where a theme can be explored like never before and etc. etc.

About 10 square metres is needed for the panoramic screen and appropriate hardware for a Kids-Force complex including the control station by which the user, either on his own or as part of a team, transforms the surroundings to an exploration capsule or ‘magic’ spaceship.

Kids-Force is just as entertaining or educational if used by a single-user or team. In either event you are free to choose voyages of discovery in Space, Underwater, Pre-history, Battle-mission, Fairy-tales etc. etc. All the participants get involved and become part of the interactive 3D environment. They are able to control the space ship and the route that voyage should take, fire rockets in attack or defence, take pictures of virtual world inhabitants and communicate with them, decide where to go and solve different quizzes.

Kids-Force is a modern 3D-installation that unites entertainment and education. Some of the salient features of Kids-Force which makes it unique are:

  • Real-time graphics (a synergy of 3D cinematic experience and simulation game technologies)
  • Complete interactivity of all players (individual joysticks and monitors with control panels)
  • Panoramic screen of 150°
  • 3D high resolution projection systems
  • Interactive game library (entertainment and educational programs)
  • Moderate dimensions (app. 5 metres width, 2.5 metres depth, 2.5 metres high)
