Global VR has announced that they will be showcasing their latest title, Justice League: Heroes United at the upcoming ATEI 2009 show. With the press release they also have included some pictures of the cabinet, jl26_cabpic_lftwhich comes in two flavors, standard and deluxe but pricing and availability are currently unavailable but should be revealed soon. We also should have some hands-on information about it straight from the show so if you’ve been wanting to know more, stay tuned. It certainly is good to see someone trying out a brawler for arcades again, the last one I know of was Asian Dynamite in ’05. For more info on the game, check out the press release after the break and discuss it on the forums.

GLOBAL VR® TO DEBUT JUSTICE LEAGUE: HEROES UNITED AT LONDON’S ATEI SHOW

SAN JOSE, Calif – (January 16, 2009) – GLOBAL VR is proud to announce that attendees of London’s upcoming ATEi Tradeshow will get the industry’s first peek at the company’s new comic book adventure game, Justice League: Heroes United. Based on the DC Comics Justice League series, Heroes United provides players with non-stop action and an opportunity to save the world from a host of DC Comics villains.

“As huge DC Comic Book fans, developing this game has been a dream come true for many of us,” stated Mike Kruse, the game’s lead producer.  He went on to comment, “Players will be able to use all of the heroes’ super-moves such as heat vision, freeze breath, lasso, tiara, and more, to conquer evil that threatens the world.   Our designers have taken their time to ensure that all the familiar elements of an exciting action/adventure arcade game are there—as well as a few surprises.”

The appeal of Justice League’s ensemble of super-heroes resonates through many generations of gamers and comic book fans. GLOBAL VR has designed the game so that it is easy for first time and younger players while entertaining for older, more experienced fans. Designed exclusively for the coin-op market, this yellow-label game is appropriate for all operator locations.  GLOBAL VR expects to ship sample games in February with production units of both standard and deluxe cabinets available in March.
