i always thought the control for vF were like running in molasses. i know it was so you could buffer the next move or whatever but it just always seemed I was always getting ready to fight instead of pounding the crap out of my opponent. I can dance, duck dive and dodge in the tekken series and scarcly get touched and counter at will; but the VF series always seemed like I was playing a person with terrible footwork who was learning to fight. Being a fighter myself this was always a bother, so i just left it alone.

I love both games but if it were to happen that will be a miracle. Game play is the main thing they should focus on. Also, release it on arcade and promote it. Than, release home console.

No, SEGA refuse this offer. If I could not get want I wanted in Tekken 6 which was Character Creation. Than Harada could not get his way either.

I dont know why people say that Virtua Fighter has better fighting dynamics than Tekken, because thats total bullshit. Tekken is way more advanced in fighting proportions. They're way more advanced in the way they move around and fight. Yet people still say that they're better than them. I played Virtua Fighter and it was such a hard game that I just gave up. They make they enemy AI way to hard and the controls totally impossible. So if they make a cross-over, Im hopping they use the Tekken fighting system. For if they do, it might be selling as the most successful fighting game in a long time.

this would deffinatly work in the arcade. though since they are two different games they would have to calibrate the controls so that it would fit all tekken and virtua fighter fighters, in other words a control system that is a one size fits all. if this does happen they should release this in the arcade market first before even planning a console release and it also gives developers more time to spend on the home version while the operator can recoap the money spent on buying the arcade version just like what happened with tekken 6. they should also promote the arcade version more so that people can play this game in a pub, bowling alley, airport, cinema and any other places where your stuck waiting around and board and that way they would make more money on the machine. one thing to debate though is which arcade hardware would they use though. personally I think they'll used namco's PS3 based hardware since they'll be wanting to port it to the home version.

Meh. If such a game actually happened they'd probably have to dumb down the Virtua Fighter half, that wouldn't be fun. Likely wouldn't see a board on this side of the Pacific anyway, if the way Sega treats 5R is anything to go by.
