One thing that helped was that on the Specular Interactive homepage they linked to the poll. We really didn't have any other websites mobilize their fanbase for the other games on this particular poll, although the same can't be said for the game of the year, which had pretty good mobilization by DJ Max Technika fans.

I wouldn't take the poll results too seriously. I know I wouldn't vote for a game that has only been own for just a few months.

I know hydro thunder would deserve to be in the top games of the decade but, it was one year early (1999).

I mentioned this in the other voting thread, I believe Ikaruga (2000) was the most influential of the lot (for this decade), given it thrust arcade shooters back into the main stream, most notably on home consoles.

I'm glad to see H2Overdrive taking Game of the Decade. I realize it's a brand new game and not yet readily available and all, but we have 2 nearby and I'm completely hooked! It's everything Hydro Thunder was, plus much more. I've never played an arcade game with so much depth. You can save your progress by creating a profile. You can level each boat from 1 to 40. There's a military ranking system that gives you promotions the more you play. There are dozens of achievements per track. And lots of secrets to unlock. Plus, it's the best looking arcade racer I've ever seen.

So, seek one out and have a blast!

Here are my picks.

Game of the Decade- Marvel vs. Capcom 2, I picked it because this has been an extremly popular fighter. The ps2 port is selling for over $60 used is one indicator of the popularity.

Game of the Year 2009-For me this one was either razing storm or guitar hero. I picked razing storm because I was i little disappointed with guitar hero. I guess I had my hopes up too high. I was hoping for online play to be up by now and a music list that that has more arcade exclusive songs.

Pinball Game of the Year- CSI. The centrifuge is pretty cool I guess.

Wow! H2Overdrive is game of the decade. That's amazing. It is a pretty good game, but I have to question whether it is the best game in the last 10 years. Oh well, its a poll, and the readers have voted. Who am I to question the popular choice? It is a good game.
