The great arcade show known as JAMMA takes place at the end of this week and as such we have more revelations on what show attendees can expect to see there. Namco Bandai has unveiled their JAMMA line-up here and there may not be anything surprising on the list so far: Gundam Extreme Vs. (which was already shown off at another expo recently), Taiko No Tatsujin 14(which is released this week in Japan), a couple of new kiddie rides w/ video (including what looks like a  smaller version of Taiko No Tatsujin) and Pac-Man Battle Royale. This is the first I’ve seen it confirmed that PMBR would be released in Japan, before it was just an assumption. It should be noted that while expectations were for PMBR to be released in September, the latest info has it at an October release, alongside Dead Heat(which is not going to JAMMA as it was designed more for the North American market).

Here is Namco’s JAMMA announcement page.

AM-Net is keeping track of all of the JAMMA company announcements on this page.

Doesn’t sound very impressive compared to last year. The only game I can see making a worldwide release is PAC man battle royal. I love taiko no tatsujin but it’s only in japan and I have the ds versions imported and used to play an import of it years ago in namco wonder park. Will dead storm pirates be there do you know?

I haven’t heard but it’s likely that they will have some of their older games on hand to fill up the booth. I have to agree that I was hoping for something more but they don’t always have a ton of new content coming out every year anyways, in fact this year has to be one of their busiest I’ve seen in a while, at least in North America.
