What you see above is the official logo for the next installment of Namco’s technical arcade racing title, Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 4. Unfortunately, the logo and a release date of sometime in 2011 is all we know about the game for the moment, but at least it is official. It should also placate some of the Maximum Tune fans who were unhappy about Dead Heat not being a WMMT title. As far as speculating on the game goes, I think there’s a chance they could give this game the 3D treatment, seeing how they already have the Japanese version of Dead Heat (called Maximum Heat) and DeadStorm Pirates going that route next spring and Konami has also thrown the gauntlet down in the 3D racing arena with Road Fighters 3D. But we’ll have to wait and see.

Since we’re on the subject of Namco games and there isn’t much to say about WMMT4 just yet, The Stinger Report also sent along a link for the new Dragonball Heroes arcade card game. Chances of finding one of these outside of Japan will be pretty much zero but here’s a video of the game in action (put on Youtube by ArcadeBelgium). Here is the official site for the game with more information in Japanese.

I really hope Namco does something creative with Maximum Tune 4. The last several games in the series have been mere rehashes of WMMT3; it’s like the 5 million versions of Street Fighter II.

I hope that there will be more cars, higher hp like 850 max, more challenges and better than WMMT 3DX+. If only Namco wants to do that. Don`t forget about tuning cards. I am very excited and can`t wait to get my hands on it. Please reply back to me.

Clone cards are better because people played it than the hacked cards made via computer. That what spoils this game.

I make project cars in Midnight Maximum Tune 2 and Dressed it up in Midnight Maximum Tune 3 and sells it in Midnight Maximum Tune 3DX+.

If NAMCO did not make a Bug of it in the First Place… No Rename Cards should be out in the Black Market. It’s their fault that they continue to enable to Change the name of the Clone Cards.
