Big Buck World released

We’ve known about it for a few months already but the latest installment to the popular Big Buck Hunter franchise, Big Buck World is now shipping according to BMI Gaming. That means that within the next few weeks, many locations with a BBH: Open Season or Safari will convert over to the new software, just in time for the holidays. We got our first look at the game in action at IAAPA last week, they were even handing out some 10th Anniversary Big Buck Hunter necklaces at the Betson booth to celebrate.

You can see the game in action below if you haven’t already – the upgrade adds a vast amount of new content to the game, from new treks to new animals, bonus rounds and a Team Play feature. The options for purchasing a cabinet are varied as an operator can get a dedicated 27″ cab or 42″ cab; or they can convert an older BBH game (including Safari) by getting a full kit (which includes artwork, guns, new PC, etc.) or by just doing a simple (and under $1000) software upgrade. As we’ve seen with the other recent BBH games, this new update will use the Coin-Up network and the company will hold new national tournaments with the game where players can win cash prizes for getting a high score.
