Chinatown Fair resurrected as Next Level Arcade

If you were disheartened by the recent closure of Chinatown Fair Arcade in New York, then grieve no longer as the owner, Henry Cen has relocated the business to 4013 8th Avenue in Brooklyn, NY.You can see some of the new location in the video below, it’s a little barren at the moment but that will change soon as they fill it up with machines. They even have a Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 setup, somewhat similar to what I’ve seen at Arcade UFO and Galloping Ghost Arcade.

It’s quite good that they had a new place to go to and that it didn’t take long to get started there. It is a big risk a business owner takes when they relocate the location of something like this – it can either pay off big or flop tremendously but judging from the video below, it looks like plenty of people will happily make the trip to the Next Level.

So have capcom made marvel V capcom available for arcades as well and not just for consoles?

No, as you can see in the video, they setup an Xbox360 on top of the machine and are running through that. I’m surprised they would set the Xbox in plain sight like that though.

Lets hope that they will not run the console games on pay-to-play or this will become an epic fail. Also lets hope that those SSFIV is not a bootleg.

Alright, THIS is what I like to see. The dedication here with so few games at present is striking and relieves many fears that were raised by this location’s closure to begin with. Also, thanks arcadehero for your tips on advertising, when I finally settle on a location it’s good to have a next plan of action. Best of luck to Next Level Arcade and the industry’s survival/revival in general.

Does anyone know a place that sells the Xbox 360 timer boards? I’d love to get one for a Marvel vs Capcom 3 setup.
