Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition 2012 news

You might have heard about it already that 4Gamer.net has reported that the next and supposedly final version of Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition, where they added the Ver. 2012 to the end will be made available in December. Japanese arcades get it on December 2nd and then console gamers get it on December 13th.

Part of the reason for my delay on reporting the news is once again I am trying to find out if Capcom will also be offering the update for those who purchased the English version of SSFIV:AE in arcades. Yes it was released, I got one and have physically handled the board. I have sent a second tweet to the producer of the game Yoshinori Ono asking if we will get the free update as well. So far no response but if we get one I’ll be sure to let you know. I don’t know exactly how many other locations have the English SSFIV:AE out there but there are a handful at least so hopefully we’re not all left out on the curb with this.  Just give us something to update via USB which I have been under the impression is possible to do with TypeX2 hardware, although if that isn’t the case, please let me know.

I sure hope they offer us a free update. Honestly, I feel it’s owed to us, as once again we can say we lost our tail on this latest SSF game with earnings now at 60.00 weekly for our over 6,000.00 investment a few months back. And poor you, Adam, they owe you much more than that after your computer problem. Afraid to ask, but are you back up and running again I sure hope?

Yeah I finally got the board back last week (and it still crashes if I don’t have a big fan on it). I was without it from mid-July until Mid-August. So far, it’s not earning really well so an early update could give us a little boost.

I am totally confused by the whole SSFIV+ and SFVT release schedule!

To avoid looking dopes Capcom has forbid all promotion of the amusement releases – so when a Japanese amusement agent reports the launch schedule for the games on coin-op they get closed down by a Cacom guy!!

Now BNG are also following the plan so they avoid mentioning the amusement release!! While the consumer boys avoided mentioning TekkenTag2 at JAMMA!!!

What is the point – I look forward too my chat with these guys in November.

The update is free to all arcade operators who legitimately purchased the Hard Disk Drive.

You’ll have to send it back to your vendor, who will, in turn, send it back to Capcom Japan to have the drive updated.
