Documentary looks at use of technology in US Army (which sort of includes arcades)

A new documentary is in the works by Piers Sanderson that is taking a look at how the US Army uses technology on every level of what they do from recruitment to in the field. This particular trailer below shows the beginnings of what they do in recruitment and there is a little bit of focus on video games. You can actually catch a couple of glimpses of GlobalVR’s America’s Army arcade machine that was released a couple of years ago, which when it was released some compared it to things like The Last Starfighter (although I haven’t heard any stories of a recruitment officer watching for the highest score in the country to enlist that player into service). I’m not sure if they will be looking into the past with things like Atari’s Bradley trainer which was an enhanced version of BattleZone used for training tank gunners.

Anyways, here’s the trailer below. Most of it is about interviewing a couple of guys getting into the service and their reasoning behind it.
