The latest from Sega’s R&D Spycam

If you have been following Sega Amusement’s Facebook page then you probably have seen this already, if not well it’s free to join. Sega has really been on top of keeping this updated with a lot of posts on Sega history as well as showing some of the people currently behind the curtain there. One thing they have been doing lately that we’ve been posting about is a “Sega R&D SpyCam”. They have been taking up-close cryptic photos of a new project but whether it is a video game or a videmption game hasn’t been clear. With today’s picture I’m leaning more towards a video game of some kind but what it is exactly is still unclear. Perhaps a light-gun shooter of some kind?

In the posts for these they also have been adding a letter with each picture. With this one we now have “SIDE” as the title, obviously there is more to it than that. We’ll have to play Wheel of Fortune a little to guess at the full title in the meantime. Here is the latest picture, which is the first screenshot from the game itself, the rest have been of the hardware (which I am also posting below to catch anyone up)

For the other two pictures(I’m excluding one other picture which was a blurry shot of a circuit board):

Just this minute seen it and left a comment as to whether or not its a video game or not. I have no idea what it could be but hopefully something revolutionary like what the wii did for consoles 🙂

I know it won’t, but it better be Virtual On. Haha

I’m not sure what to think. The logo looks like a Pokeball from Pokemon, the patterns seem like Tron, the screenshot resembles the intro movies for the first two Virtual Ons and the tesla thing is just crazy. Color me confused/excited.

A new Crazy Taxi would be swell.
