New from UNIS: Bike Rally

What happens when you mix Namco’s Prop Cycle with something like Taito’s Kickthrough Racers? Something along the lines of what Universal Space‘s Bike Rally is trying to do I imagine. Like Prop Cycle you can pedal the bike for momentum in the game and for Kickthrough Racers you get the cutesy look, although BR has a flatter look to a lot of things than KR does, looking closer to a Flash game than a full 3D spectacle. I wonder if this is the final version though -with only two racers and two tracks to choose from its pretty light on content. That might not be a huge deal for the target audience but like with other racers out there that only have a few tracks to choose from, as an operator when you are spending several thousand dollars on a game you want to be sure you will get your money’s worth out of it.

Universal Space/UNIS does sell many of their games out West so we could see this possibly at IAAPA 2012.

This is not the first time UNIS has taken a page from some of Namco’s older titles. The first time I came across them they had a title called Ultimate that used sliding joysticks just like Panic Park (it also focused on mini-games but with a more sci-fi theme). And not long ago we posted about a game called Jr. Jockey that was similar to Final Furlong.
