Newsbytes: China Expo; Arcade Music Vid; And More

Happy weekend everyone. Today’s newsbytes were cut into smaller portions with a bigger punch of vitamins for a healthier you!

GTI Asia China Expo 2015 – In previous years we were sent a lot of pictures from a big amusement/arcade trade show in China called GTI Asia China but this year I have been able to find very little from the event in terms of both photos and video. Since I need content for this post anyways, here is what I have been able to find:

NEON FM Asia-style cabinet by Andamiro & Unit-E: Includes some songs from Pump It Up; the manufacturer Unit-E is now testing those songs on the US version.

Top Star New Version by Wahlap: The Wahlap booth featured some games from Namco including Star wars Battle Pod and Time Crisis 5; they also had some Big Buck HD cabs. For their own products, this new cabinet of their touchscreen music game Top Star was the only new product to be unveiled:

Fish Hunter – Same concept as Fruit Ninja but with an under-the-sea/fish theme. You can see how the cabinet is similar to Fruit Ninja FX but isn’t an exact copy.

Post Apocalyptic Mayhem – I have no idea if this was at the show but it is something new I found from a Chinese game maker. It looks like a console game in the way it plays and the bloom is cranked up way too high but here you go:

And that’s it. Like I said, I did try checking every source of Chinese arcade news I know of but what is out there was fairly sparse this time around.

Jargon Party Music Video at the Arcade: For those into some rock n’ roll (not that anyone uses that term anymore 😛 ), here is a new music video where it was “…very much inspired by video games/comic books/Scott Pilgrim and was shot at Arcadia National Bar in Portland, ME by Red Stallion Media.” Check it out:

Heighway Pinball’s Swappable Game Cabinet In Action – One innovative aspect about the new pinball machines from UK game maker Heighway Pinball is the ability to swap out the game in just a few minutes. Thus owners of their now available Full Throttle will be able to easily switch over to the upcoming Aliens Pinball and so on. This video shows the process in action:
