New Videmption Game Gridiron Blitz in Action

A little while back we mentioned a new video redemption game that was on test at Dave & Busters, which was caught by an eagle eyed reader in the background of a new D&B commercial. Today thanks to JDevy, here is a look at the game in action. It is separated into three events which increase in difficulty as you progress. Beat level three and you win the jackpot. This doesn’t appear to have any sort of  non-ticket/video amusement only option to it…that would probably require linked play to drive people to play it solely for the amusement of competition and points.

There is no word yet one when this will be available but I imagine it will be very soon as the football season has begun.

What are your thoughts on this game?

The gameplay seems very basic and I find it odd that they went with a football theme when all you do is run through a series of tires. I’m surprised they didn’t go with a Crossfit theme instead since that seems to be getting really popular lately. Yes I know it’s still not as big as the NFL but at least that theme would fit better.

The game is at my Dave & Buster’s in Jacksonville FL a few weeks ago when I went. I wasn’t interested in playing though. I love D&B but wish they didn’t rely so heavily on ticket games and would love to see them add Tekken 7!
