Today’s news comes along about a partnership between three companies in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area – Retro Madness (comics/toys); Vintage Freak (clothing/decor/vinly records); and GreenTech Games (arcade/arcade repairs). With their powers combined, they are working to open up “Retro Plaza” at the DFW Metroplex, which will provide plenty of retro video gaming to enjoy.

For the part of the arcade, it will be called the Quarter Lounge. They hope to have it open by July 1st, with local permits needing to be resolved before they can open up. They are focused on classic video arcade games (25¢ per play) and pinball (50¢ per play). A “preview” room is currently open so customers can get an idea of what will be offered; according to the full games list, users will be able to enjoy titles like: Aliens, Centipede, Choplifter, Cruisn’ World, Daytona USA, Donkey Kong, Double Dragon, Galaga, Golden Axe, Joust, Knights of the Round, Ms. Pac-Man, OutRun, Primal Rage, Raiden II, Sky Soldier, Soul Calibur, Sunset Riders, Super Street Fighter II, Tekken 3 and more. They will also have classic consoles to play.
