Cruis’n Blast Arcade Now Available

We’ve been covering the latest edition of Cruis’n for a little while now and earlier this week, I received confirmation from Betson (a major arcade game distributor) that they have received Cruis’n Blast units to deliver to buyers.

That’s the long way of saying that the game has been released! As such, if you have a location near you that likes to get their hands on brand new games, then perhaps they will have it. In fact it is sounding likely – my contact stated that they have taken orders for almost 1300 units already. The actual number of ordered units will be higher when you combine other distributors with the game. So it is off to a great start.

I was actually going to be one of those locations and was going to grab more footage of it but I need to sell off my Fast And Furious Super Cars games first. Hopefully later this month I’ll be able to grab it.

Cruis’n Blast Media

Raw Thrills sent me some new media of the game for you all to enjoy. Due to some additional travelling on my part, I wasn’t able to get to this until today but better late than never. 🙂

While the shots were sent in 1920×1080 resolution, I did scale a few down to save on space. Click on any pic below to get a larger view.

This direct screenshot of the game is from the Rio course:

Here is an in-engine shot of the cars parked close together on a Rio street:

Another of the main vehicle selection:

Racing in Death Valley

Fireworks in jolly ol’ London:

Headed towards a shipwreck on Madagascar:

Well that paint job is colorful:

Super Bikes 2 had the TRON-like bike… Cruis’n Blast has the TRON-like car 😉

It was a dark and stormy night in Singapore…

In case you didn’t catch it yet, footage I captured of the game a few weeks ago at IAAPA 2016:

And last but not lease the official trailer (best to watch this in 1080p60 to get a feel for what it is like in person):

That’s all for now – if you find this game out there, comment below and tell us what you think about it!

Wow, 1300 units is quite impressive to say it’s only just been released. I spoke to a game developer years ago that worked on arcade games for gaelco such as atv track, smashing drive, radical bikers and speed up and he told me an average game would sell 3000 units and that was well over 10 years ago when people had been way before then that arcades are dead. They may not be like the 80’s but there will always be people that will play them if a game can offer something good. Every time I went to luigies mansion arcade it was hard to get on as it was always occupied especially by children.

I hope one of the local arcades in my area gets this in the holiday season. I was told by one arcade in the area that they’re getting a new game/attraction in January. Hopefully that was Cruis’n they were talking about and it was shifted to December 😀 1300 units means approximately 400+ arcades are getting a pair.

I’ll have to ask some folks in my area as well. I have an idea where to start too. WIll probably head there after Christmas!

As of writing this, I have 2 in my dock getting ready to be assembled by me in mere moments from now. Christmas came early for me.

Got both up and running (minus card readers) in under an hour. Comes almost completely assembled, just had to put on the marquee on top. But ran into a couple problems-BOTH machines cameras were installed upside down. And one’s inside game marquee isn’t lighting up. Rotated cameras and not looked into other problem yet. Took a few pictures to submit an unboxing.

So far, one thing I don’t like for it-No seat slider. Granted, it has 3 different mounting points for the seat (both assembled in different positions on mine), It sucks watching a few kids on the edge of the seat trying to play.

Thanks for all of the input Ralph! Very odd that the seats don’t slide…
