No Country For Old Arcades

This is what I like to see, and exactly the kind of thing I’d love to do if I had the time, christ I’m struggling to get up my impressions of ATEi at the moment (they are coming I promise).

Over at Gametap they are running a series of articles about the remaining arcades around America. Now don’t take this in a negative way because the writer in question is a lover of arcades, but unforetunatley to a lot of people on the outside they think arcades are dying. Personally I like to think they are evolving, gone are the days of smoke filled 80’s game parlours and now it’s all about the family entertainment centres…… blah blah blah, etc etc, we’ve heard it all before.

Anyways back to the point. Jared Rea will be running a series of arcade visits to some of the older old school arcades. I will be looking forward to these greatly. Hit the link to check the first of many.

Sunnyvale Golfland is the best. Been going there for many years now. Always gauranteed to have some of the best of the newer games available and in good condition.
