The Making of Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game

Is the Street Fighter Movie one of the worst movies ever and is Street Fighter: The Movie: The Game one of the worst games ever? More than likely, but I some how can’t help look back at them with a feeling of weird fondness. That’s why I’m loving all these pictures that have sprung up courtesy of Alan Noon – who posted a ton of info on the game last year. Also it had Kylie in a leotard, what’s not to like!

If someone says that Street Fighter: The Movie is one of the worst games ever, he’s probably only played about 3 video games in his life. God spare us the Street Fighter elitists who sniff at the Marvel Versus series.

The home versions of Street Fighter: The Movie play very similar to SFII. It’s an interesting and enjoyable game and certainly not one of the worst games ever. If Mortal Kombat gets away with that kind of look and has a worse fighting system then SF: The Movie is certainly not the worst fighting game ever.

I also used to play this game with my friend on his Saturn the year before the PS2 came out (which we then played DOA: Hardcore, Tekken Tag and SF: Arika version 3 or w/e it’s called). It’s a pretty fun game so no one should bash it without playing it.
