(Thanks to reader Alan S. for the tip)

Attention any readers who so happen to reside anywhere near the Gameworks in Chicago – Sega is testing Sega Racing Classic there until next week. Apparently it has been on test for about a week already but the tipster who passed this along didn’t send us any pictures unfortunately. So in case you go, do us a favor and send some snapshots along, since you heard it here first. 😉

UPDATE: I noticed that Highway Games updated the page on SRC by adding the back of the game’s flyer into the fray.

      David,
When your there – take your photos, and then say to Kim Olson, the general manager for GW-Schaumburg. May be able to give you some background.

I just hope the cabinet has a proper Daytona gearshifter. 🙂

I would really love to see some video of this in action.

This looks just like the same old game with the same graphics, it doesn’t even look as good as the Dreamcast version.

OH well, got excited for nothing.

seeing is believing though. I’m a little disappointed that the game runs on the ringwide instead of the ringedge though I have to admit. I suppose its to make the game more affordable to smaller operators maybe :/ you never though they might make a full scale daytona like what they did with outrun 2 sp dx version (even though its been done with daytona before) but with new added features like the seat swap in outrun 2 sp dx but more original ideas
