Bones takes on the King of Kong

I have never really watched the Fox TV show “Bones” but here is one episode I would probably check out as naturally, it deals with arcades and the rivalries that can happen with them. Of course they are taking liberties here, I have never heard of high score champions murdering their opponents but “what if?” is fine for TV. This obviously is based upon the rivalry between Steve Wiebe and Billy Mitchell on Donkey Kong, which was covered in the documentary The King of Kong. In fact in this episode, the first names of the two are the same and the fantasy characters of Billy and Steve are competing for the high score on a game called Punky Pong. The airs (or has already aired) on your local Fox affiliate in the US and I imagine that you will be able to catch it online via sites such as Fox.com or Hulu within the next day or so.

Wow, they’ve aped (pun unintended, but damn… I’m *so* leaving it in) the ‘look & feel’ of Donkey Kong’s cab artwork very well.

Never watched the show, but judging by that trailer, “utter crap” doesn’t quite cover it.
