The 2009 Dance Dance Revolution Nationals get a recap; Ongaku Paradise tests in Japan

(thanks to Aaron Auzins for the tips)

Ever since it was first announced a few months ago, we have kept tabs here and there on Konami’s National DDR Championships that were held in different regions around the US. Those nationals are now complete and thankfully Bemanistyle.com has a complete recap on what went right and what went wrong regarding those tournaments. Sadly, it appears that more went wrong than right but they did manage to forge ahead and complete everything in Las Vegas on the 5th of this month. According to Bemanistyle, the players felt that this competition overall was more of a head-ache than anything else; Konami however felt that it was successful and did state that another tournament will take place this year. I imagine that they will be looking at what went wrong this time and fix it so that players will feel more satisfied the next time around.

For all of the details, check out the full report at Bemanistyle.com.

Also, in regards to a new title that Konami is testing out in Japan, Aaron pointed me to another article at Bemanistyle about Ongaku Paradise, Konami’s attempt at trying out a music-based version of Quiz Magic Academy. You can read about that here.
