Popular Japanese voice actor Yoshio Nagahori found dead

Shaggy January 20, 2010 2

A popular voice actor who has an impressive resume, voicing a number of characters in anime programs like Dragonball Z, Cowboy Bebop, Pokemon and many others as well as characters in some popular arcade titles such as Tekken, Dead or Alive, Soulcalibur was found dead on Sunday. Yoshio Nagahori whose screen name was Daisuke Gouri apparently committed suicide with a sharp object and he was found in the street, arm bleeding and collapsed. His final will was also found nearby, he was 57.

I have always found it a little strange how prevalent suicide is in Japan to the point where it is considered an “epidemic” so I won’t bother to comment on it further. RIP Mr. Nagahori.
