Pinball Wizard Arcade opening in Pelham, NH next week (UPDATED)

arcadehero January 6, 2011 21

(Thanks for the info Adam Pfeifer!)

I’m happy to share the opening of another arcade, and this one is huge. If you live in the Granite State, or anywhere near it, then come next week you will have two large arcades to choose from. The first one is already famous – Funspot with it’s collection of 331 games according to Aurcade.com. The second one is opening on January 12th @ 10AM in Pelham, NH and it will boast 200+ arcade games and 70+ pinball machines, putting it within striking distance of Funspot’s number. It also marks another large arcade that has a vast collection of pinball machines, much like Pinballz Arcade that just opened in Austin, TX this past November.

The new arcade is called the Pinball Wizard Arcade and the picture above is one of the  pinball rows they have setup. They have 9800 sq. ft. of gaming space available, a space which is not completely filled by the 270 games they plan on having, which means they have some room to grow. The cost and a complete list of games have not been revealed to us at this point but we do have a partial list of games, which you can read by hitting the link below. They have a website you can visit here – there aren’t any details there at the moment (other than the address) but that should change once they open.

UPDATE#2: Here’s a review of the place from the blog No Crisis Yet, along with new pictures!

Nice: at least the transplants in the south now have an arcade to go to.

I’m very excited to see this arcade open up. I run a lot of fighting game events in Lowell, MA and I’m happy to see that there will be an actual arcade that the community can flow in to.

Its awesome to see an arcade opening near the Lowell area that has a good selection of fighting games.

You guys should consider picking up a couple Super Street Fighter 4: Arcade Edition cabinets.

Keep an eye on the site http://www.pinballwizardarcade.com/. You can guarantee fighting tournaments with some pretty sweet prizes in the upcoming months.

It’s a drive for me while I’m not at the University but I think I will try to go Wednesday too. Man if they got Super Street Fighter 4 Arcade Edition I’d practically live there.

This is going to be great! I visit family in NH twice a year and always loved going to Fun Spot, but felt their pin selection was running weak. Good luck with the opening, and I’ll be there very soon!

This place is great, I was there for several hours today with my son. I think they have about 200 games in there new and like new very old games, The owner and her staff were very nice.

My friend just told me about this arcade opening up. I was a bit skeptical when I heard Pinball in the name of the arcade. But, seeing the small, not the full list of games you guys have, it’s got great fighters and a lot of potential for growth if enough people go.

Mainly I would like to know what dance games you got here(I see one hiding way back in one of your pictures. It looks like a Pump it Up) and if at all possible in acquiring Wangan Midnight Maximum Tune 4 when it comes out. I would also love to see Super Street Fighter 4 arcade edition cabs.

Can’t wait to check it out. My husband is turning 50 this year and I think this would be an awesome place to have a b’day party. Who says you have to be young to have fun?

I love this place! I drove down from my Funspot visit this past summer and I was amazed at the selection of games they have! PBW has the best mix of old, new, rare, common, and pinball games that I’ve ever seen on the East Coast! I’m thinking of taking a 2-day trip up there in February for my birthday.
