Sega shipping Let’s Go Island in the US

We’re just on a roll with the game announcements this week it seems(much like The Spice, the Arcades must flow). Sega Amusements USA has issued a press release regarding their latest light-gun shooter, Let’s Go Island, sequel to 2006’s Let’s Go Jungle. This Ringwide powered game was first announced last January and it already has been released in Europe. Three cabinet configurations will make their way to the US: a 32″ stand-up edition; a 42″ non-motion deluxe and a 47″ motion deluxe. One distinct difference the cabinets offer from LGI’s predecessor is that none of these come in the “theater cabinet” configuration which offered some seclusion to players, much to the chagrin of some operators.  I haven’t come across pricing schemes for the different configurations yet so we’ll have to hold tight in that regard but I have collected the information we have about the game and compiled it onto a page which you can read here. I’ve also added the game to our New Games Watch list.
