The NeoGeo MVS has another game to add to it’s overall game library today as the Germany-based development team NG:DEV TEAM has announced the limited release of their original game, Last Hope: Pink Bullets. This was first released on the Sega Dreamcast and with a very limited run of 25 units they have already sold out of the MVS version but if the interest is there, who knows if they will decide to produce more kits.here is a video of the Dreamcast version:

Hopefully with this release now complete, we will be hearing more about their next MVS game, Gunlord very soon.

Are these kits just for japan or are they for sale in the rest of the world? The name makes me think of another shoot called pink sweets with it sounding similar as well as being a shmp.

they were available everywhere but I think when it came to arcades interested in their shmups, they found a little market in Japan.

the problem is most gamers prefer FPS rather than shmp’s. I still think they’re fun though and since they are releasing it in japan I don’t see why they can’t bring it out in europe aswell. the problem is I think is that kids born in the mid to late 90’s and beyond don’t really appreciate the graphical style of these sorts of pixel games as we do not to mention they can easily be played at home as they prefer either crisp HD graphics or flash games.

take the original super mario bros on the nes for example my friend’s son who is 7 has new super mario bros for the DS and when he played the original he didn’t like it near as much as new super mario bros.
        It’s a generation thing sadly.
companies need to find a way to update pixel games while retaining the original classic apperance such as HD screens and nice sleek cabinets etc
