Your Five US Test Locations for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 Arcade

We’ve know for a little while that Tekken Tag Tournament 2, which came out to Japanese arcades back in September this year, was going to get a location test or two in the US. As it turns out, fivefour locations have been picked to serve as the locations for testing in the US and they are:

Fun Works – Honolulu, HI
Super Arcade –  Walnut, CA
Round One Entertainment –  City of Industry, CA
Arcade UFO – Austin, TX
Next Level Arcade – New York, NY

(Next Level Arcade IS NOT going to be participating in the test)

No dates have been given as of yet but rest assured we will be finding out soon enough. I’m very interested in seeing how this goes and comparing it with how Capcom handled SSFIV Arcade Edition here. Whether they will be providing a setup equal to that seen in Japan is also of interest – it actually appears that they will be testing out the online features for the game at these locations according to this location test webpage setup in English. Will they be testing the dual cabinet style or a more traditional 2p-per-cabinet style? Of course when it comes to arcade fighters, two other things we would all be happy to know: price and the exclusivity period. Either way, even with these questions unanswered at the moment, it’s exciting to see Namco giving some love to Tekken in modern arcades after Tekken 6 wasn’t really given the red carpet treatment a few years back.
