Catching up on the news: David Foley Plea Deal, AC/DC Pinball release, VF5 tournament

I apologize about the lack of stories lately – it’s partly my fault as I have been busy moving my arcade location (which still isn’t complete yet but we are closed at the old location, need to resolve a few things with the new one) and that has taken up all of my time. But on top of that, news has been slow. That should change next week with EAG, although so far I have heard very little about new content that will be there.

So one of the bigger stories I missed during this period was the plea deal for Mr. David Foley in regards to the Ultracade situation. Here was a post about the original allegations. He pled guilty to to conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud and conspiracy to commit bank fraud with other charges being dropped; at this point he can argue for no time spent in jail and the government can argue to put him away for up to 41 months. I’m not sure when that sentencing will take place but we’ll probably hear about it before too long. Here is Mr. Foley’s statement about the matter.

Not long after the teaser, came the game. Stern’s AC/DC Pinball is now available for purchase. Here’s a narrow video of it in action for anyone interested.

They are running a tournament for Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown in Japan from now until March. Story (Stinger Newsfeed 1153)
