EAG 2012 video showcase

It’s that time of year again – EAG has been and gone, and this year’s show continued to build on the successes of the past two years. I will have the customary full report up tomorrow, but until then please enjoy this video of some of the show’s highlights. It runs for just under eight and a half minutes and starts off loud, so watch your speakers!

Unfortunately not, Darius Burst AC wasn’t at the show. It’s a pity since it’s a great game, better than Frightfearland (which is ruined by poor graphics). Maybe it’s because of the space limitations of the stand…

Taito had the new-named Real Punch2, Frightnight and that was it. No Darius and no Street Fighter IV. I spoke with the Taito executive briefly at the show and will report the plans for the future in the EAG Stinger Report coverage.

Honestly, I could bear and sorta enjoyed haunted museum 1 from taito. Haunted museum 2 (Frightmareland) Was god-awful. I mean, it was supposed to appeal to children but, considering the generation of kids these days, even a youngster would think it’s stupid. Unfortunately the game made me actually put my head down in shame while playing it once, it is also quite a quarter sucker, and even if you can ignore all that, you still have the plot and quotes… “Yipee! I love the circus!” “You are such a child” Just… no. Generally, if you enjoy the ridiculous innocence of children’s games that fear the slightest hint of any actual violence, and have a maniacal love for poorly done scripts, Frightmareland is the ultimate game for you, if not, then, stay far away, and just try carnevil.
