Beercade Opens in Omaha, NE

The new location hits just keep on coming, today is news of a “barcade” style venue called Beercade, which has opened its doors in Omaha Nebraska. As one might assume from the name, the idea is to combine arcade games in a bar environment, which really is where arcades were found a good deal of the time in the 70s before it became more common for venues to focus entirely on arcades.

The Beercade has a strong focus on classic/retro games with their selection currently showing as: Joust, Asteroids, Donkey Kong, Missile Command, Mario Bros., Smash TV, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Area 51, Operation WOLF, Crusin’ USA, Street Fighter II, and more.

They have just as many brews as they have games, some with a video game theme such as the 8-Bit Pale Ale.
