FlashBack RetroPub Brings The Bar/Arcade Concept to Oklahoma City, OK

Before I get to the ‘Newsbytes’ of the weekend, I caught sight of this new bar/arcade that just barely opened in Oklahoma City, OK by the name of FlashBack RetroPub. Like we generally see with the increase in bar/arcade concepts, they are going with the retro theme, featuring games from the 80s and 90s. This article by KFOR News suggests that they are exclusively focused on the 80s, but the embedded news report does show a game or two from the 90s. For the games I can figure out (as they have not published a complete list): 1942, Captain America and the Avengers, Centipede, Defender, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Mario Bros., Missile Command, Ms. Pac-Man, NBA Jam, Pac-Man, Pole Position II, Q*Bert, Rampage, Street Fighter II, Super Hang-On, Super Off Road, Zaxxon and more.

If you are in the area, go and check them out. It looks like they have space to add in many more games – surprisingly there is no pinball yet. We wish them the best of luck in the business either way!
