Thanks to Michael Louie for the great tips on new locations opening their doors out there, we have two locations to highlight today.

National Video Game Museum – Frisco, TX: Below is a news report from Fox4News in Texas, showcasing the National Video Game Museum finding a permanent home in the city of Frisco. The final location was approved by the city of Frisco last year, giving the museum 10,000+ sq. ft. of space to enjoy. In covering the wide swath of video vgmuseumtxgames in a general sense, they have a strong focus on home game consoles but naturally any museum worth its salt is going to have some arcade games there to properly cover history. Still, I love the wall of console chronology that they have as so often there are many good consoles that get overlooked as time passes by. For arcades, they have Asteroids, BattleZone, Burgertime, Defender, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Dragon’s Lair, Final Lap 3, Galaga, Mappy, Ms. Pac-Man, Neo Geo 4-slot,Pac-Man, Punch Out, Road Runner, Space Duel, Turbo and more. If the video below doesn’t work, here is the direct link at Fox4News. [Official Website for the Museum]

Press Start – Rapid City, SD: Up North in South Dakota, a new bar/arcade has opened their doors by the name of Press Start. They did open in 2015 Following what has become a standard business model for these types of venues(pay for drinks, games on free paly), they are also offering a sort of ‘beerdemption’ concept by show your high score on their phone and if it meets a certain criteria you get a free beer. For the game selection they’ve got: Beer Ball,  Centipede, Defender, Dig Dug, Dragon’s Lair, Galaga, Ms. Pac-Man, Space Ace, Star Wars (Atari), Street Fighter II, The Simpsons,  TRON Legacy Pinball, X-Men and many more, including some that are on request. This is due to a local arcade collector furnishing the games and not all of his games are on site. Press Start Unofficial Facebook Page
