Sega Coming To CEMA 2016 With Four Games Including Luigi Mansion Arcade

Sega Amusements International sent out a press release this morning touting their presence at both the upcoming CEMA (California Entertainment Machine Association) and the Amusement Expo International events. The CEMA Spring Spotlight show happens this Thursday in La Mirada, CA; Amusement Expo is next month on the 16th and 17th.

While we know about the games that the release mentions, it does show that they are serious about Luigi Mansion Arcade coming to market. Due to the Japanese text as seen at IAAPA, I heard some talk expressing doubt that they would bring it along this Summer as Sega was promising but the company was very adamant that the game will launch this Summer. The game coming to both of these events should ease any doubts along those lines but hopefully it will be an English version this time. To top it off, the press release mentions that Sega will soon be launching a new financing program so operators can more easily get their hands on one of these games.

The other games are available now with Sega taking orders for Mario & Sonic At The Rio 2016 Olympic Games Arcade Edition (it will begin shipping any time this month) and the two other Sonic games having been available since last year. Here is the press release to confirm:

SEGA’S BRINGING A FULL HOUSE TO CEMA

SEGA’S GIVING A PRE-AMUSEMENT EXPO INTERNATIONAL VIEWING OF SOME OF THIS YEAR’S MOST ANTICIPATED GAMES

London, UK 2 February 2016 – SEGA will give members of the California Entertainment Machine Association (CEMA) first look at some of the most anticipated games of the year in advance of the March Amusement Expo International.

About SEGA’s Presence at CEMA’s 2016 Spotlight Show

On Thursday 4 February, CEMA will host their 3rd Annual Spotlight Show at the Holiday Inn in La Mirada, CA. Member manufacturers and suppliers are encouraged to present their latest and greatest products and services to a group of engaged and professional operators from the most populated state in the union. It’s an opportunity SEGA will be taking full advantage of.

At this year’s CEMA show, SEGA will display 4 incredible new games:
 Luigi’s Mansion, 2-Player 55” Theatre
 Mario and Sonic at the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, 2-Player Deluxe
 Sonic Blast Ball
 Sonic Dash Extreme

“We unveiled all four titles at the 2015 IAAPA Show to an incredible reception,” said SEGA Senior Sales Manager, Vince Moreno. “We’re now in the process of bringing these titles to market and the demand has honestly been overwhelming. We’re really happy to able to show these games to this group of progressive operators,” continued Moreno. “I’m very confident they’ll see opportunities with them. I expect they’ll be saving some budget to make sure they take one or more of these titles home.”

All 4 titles plus an impressive 10 others will be on display at the upcoming Amusement Expo International 16 and 17 March in Las Vegas. Make sure to visit SEGA during The Amusement Expo International Expo in booth #211 to see the rest of their exciting 2016 Spring Lineup but fair warning, you’re going to have a hard time leaving the booth without buying something… yes, SEGA’s 2016 Spring Lineup is that good.

To make that purchase easier, SEGA is about to announce an attractive finance program covering these games plus one more. So what are you waiting for?
Great games + attractive financing = “Hellllooooo New Game Room.”

That’s great and all but will us Europeans be getting luigies mansion since it wasn’t present at EAG this year or was the game there but overlooked?

Given the present structure of Sega with a lot of direction coming from the UK office, I believe the game will be available, it is just a matter of locations being willing to buy one (probably about a $15k-$17kUSD game)

This is happening this coming Thursday? Just my luck since I’ll be 10 minutes from La Mirada on Friday. I’ll have to keep this show in mind for next year.
