Catching Up On The Colorization of Pinball Machines Via ColorDMD

It has been a while since we last talked about Color DMD, a company that specializes in providing color content replacements for old monochromatic pinball displays. The last time we mentioned a game they had colorized, it was South Park. Since then, they have released several other games so let’s catch up and show you what they have added to their line-up.

Warning – Lots of videos ahead so it might take a little time to load this post depending on your connection.

Guns N’ Roses (Data East) – This was just announced, the ROM will be available by this Friday:

TRON Legacy (Stern) – One of these days I’ll get my hands on this game…

Twilight Zone (Bally) – One of the most liked and sought after pinball tables.

Demolition Man (Williams) – This shows the pixel smoothing enabled

The Avengers (Stern) – Being one of Stern’s newer games, this ColorDMD has great shading/gradient effects:

No Good Gofers (Williams) –

Ironman (Stern)

World Tour Poker (Stern)

X-Men (Stern)

The Shadow (Midway)

That should get us caught up! What pinball machine do you hope that they update next?

I want Stern’s Pirates of the Caribbean, Spider-man, Star Trek and Mustang to be colorized. It will really be nice to see these.

I hope they do Gottlieb’s Super Mario Bros pin. “Video mode” where you actually play Mario on the display would be a lot more impressive if it was full color instead of orange and black.
