It’s October and apart from spooky characters prepping for Halloween fun at the end of the month, this also means that it is time for the next Big Buck World Championship. Players have been participating in qualifiers for the past few months so with that complete, it’s time to compete.

The Big Buck World Championships 2017 – Details

I could elaborate on the press release or just share the meat of it with you. I’ll take the lazy route this time:

The Big Buck World Championship Celebrates 10th Anniversary at The Hard Rock Las Vegas with $100,000 Prize Pool!

(Glen Ellyn, Ill. October 3, 2017) – With over $100,000 in cash and prizes up for grabs, players from around the world have secured their coveted spot at the 2017 Big Buck World Championship and Ladies Tourney at the Hard Rock Las Vegas on October 27th and 28th. Celebrating the 10th year of the largest arcade eSports event in the world, players and fans alike are counting down the days. Qualifiers ended October 1st and now players are preparing for their shot at the $100,000 prize pool.

The players will gather in Las Vegas, NV to battle head-to-head for the $20,000 top prize and to have their name inscribed on Pappy’s Jug. The 2017 Big Buck World Championship will be held October 27th and 28th at The Hard Rock Las Vegas. The public is welcome to witness the event in person or tune in LIVE on Twitch.tv/bigbuckhd. Keep up to date on the latest Big Buck Hunter World Championship news by visiting www.bigbuckhd.com.

We previously heard that Las Vegas would be the hosting city for this year’s event but the venue had not been decided upon at that time. Also, from this we have found out that there is a $100,000 prize pool up for grabs, nothing to sneeze at there. Given recent events in the city, it’s good that something like this will bring people into the area; I’m glad they didn’t cancel and move it elsewhere. The public can attend so that’s an extra bonus.

Pinball Joining In The Fun

But that’s not all, as the image above shows us. Stern Pinball and the IFPA are participating in the event with a prize of their own. IFPA will be running their inaugural “Heads-Up Pinball Championship” during the event. The prize at hand – an Aerosmith Pro pinball machine. Players will play head-to-head on two pinball machines as the elimination rounds progress. I hope they have a Big Buck pinball machine there though…just seems like that should be a given 😉
