Now Shipping: Halo: Fireteam Raven 2-player (Plus new screenshots)

Continuing the solid start for 2019 in terms of new arcade machines, we’ve got an update for gamers & operators who are interested in the more compact version of Halo: Fireteam Raven.

For a quick background (in case you missed the news), last year saw the release of Halo: Fireteam Raven in a massive Super Deluxe cabinet. In November, Raw Thrills demonstrated a more compact Deluxe model at the IAAPA 2018 trade show event. I captured a bit of footage of that one which I’ll embed here.

I initially heard that units would be hitting the streets in February, but this post by Raw Thrills on News Years Day had me wondering if it might be sooner than that. I reached out to them and confirmed that yes, the game beings shipping this month. Of course, with how long it can take between ordering and shipping, I imagine that some locations will only be getting it when February rolls around anyways.

On top of that, I was able to get some screenshots to share; I’m breaking this into two slides, one with some environmental shots, the next direct screenshots. These are of the 4-player version and I am not sure if they have already been publicized or not.

If you had a chance to try out the 2-player version at IAAPA (or perhaps a secret location test), what did you think about it?
