Sega Amusements Announces Availability of Daytona Champions USA Upgrade, “New Season Edition”

At IAAPA 2018, Sega previewed an early build of another major update to their arcade-exclusive Daytona Championship USA game. Called the New Season Edition, this software package made several big modifications to the game, from updated graphics with a new lighting engine, improved handling, new car models and damage modelling, enhanced camera control and dynamic features, new car liveries and top 3 race highlights. All this has been done to improve the DCUSA experience, also providing for some features that fans have been asking for.

Yesterday, Sega Amusements announced the availability of this software to existing DCUSA owners for free. You have to fill out an order form to confirm that you own a machine; if so, Sega will provide the means to obtain the update. It works on all models of the game (Standard, Deluxe and Super Deluxe).

I hope to soon have some media to share that will compare the older version(s) of the game with New Season; that will be posted once in hand.
