It has been announced that SNK will be bring a host of thier Neo Geo classics to the Wii’s Virtual Console, the information released follows;
Games will be priced “a little above” SNES titles (which are $8…so expect around $10)
They’re going to be releasing a couple of games a month over the next year. So, roughly, 24 games. Which leaves plenty of room for sequels/franchises.
Initial games won’t be Metal Slug or King of Fighters; they’re easily available now, they want to release some stuff that’s been a bit more elusive.
Other highlights include a desire to launch VC games simultaneously across all regions, and that we should start seeing the first Neo Geo games in mid-summer. Cant wait, some of my favourite games have been created by SNK.
