Capcom has launched a site which teases us with the new SFIV update and while details are scarce right now (like it was when the game was originally teased) we at least know what it will be called – Street Fighter IV: New Warrior. We have to wait and see if Capcom will release this to arcades or not as we know for sure that the consoles will be seeing this.

UPDATE: As it turns out, Capcom has decided NOT to support the arcade with this update. As such, no reason for us to discuss it further since they apparently don’t want to give arcades the support.

Yeah, I was about to post the youtube link of the Game Reactor video. I am glad that Capcom’s listening to the fans and adding characters and changing things around, but it’s just like a huge kick in the nuts for all the arcade fans, here and around the world.

Even when they do support the arcades, they release a home version better then the arcade version. I went to play Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom at an arcade and the game doesn’t have characters in the Wii version and now their adding even more to the US release of the game on the Wii.

Well, it looks like there is a SLIM chance they might still support the arcades. Maybe if we make some more noise, they’ll listen up to us. I know the home consoles are where the money is, but the only way to play Street Fighter is in an arcade.

“On the Super Street Fighter IV Blog, Assistant Producer Natsuki Shiozawa writes, “It’s not that an arcade version of Super Street Fighter IV isn’t possible. That’s one thing I really want to get out there, that we never said to give up on an arcade version.”
