Massachusetts might be known as one state in the US that has a town infamous for banning arcades, but that is not the case statewide. Head over to the city of Millbury and you will soon find an FEC(Family Entertainment Center) that will be offering some arcade fun in addition to a list of other activities.
The name of the place is just Galaxy FEC and they are aiming to open their doors sometime this Fall. In a testament to the popularity of crowdsourced funding, they are currently seeking funds through that route, although using a website I had not heard of before called RocketHub. It does fit in well with their theme though, which is all about space. In addition to activities like mini-golf, laser tag, amusement park size rides, mini-bowling, flight simulators such as MaxFlight, an arcade, and much more they also will have educational activities for kids involving space. So far there is no list of what their arcade will include beyond a ticket redemption center although it seems like the theme would lend itself to being a great place for either the Orion Trans-force 5D (which has a game called “Trip To The Moon”) or a Dariusburst Another Chronicle machine. Either way it seems like they are trying to create a facility jam-packed with the latest games and we wish them the best of luck in their business when they do open! You can visit their website here.
I really hope they get the following games in their arcade when they open or later:
Big Buck HD (and the DLC when it comes out)
Sega Golden Gun
The Swarm
Dark Escape 4D
SnoCross Arcade
Cars Arcade
Doodle Jump Arcade
Very good post. I’m facing some of these issues as well..
