When first unveiled at IAAPA 2014, one thing I kept hearing from various people at the Raw Thrills/Betson booth regarding Jurassic Park Arcade, was that the “cabinets are NOT final”. You always hear that to a degree when any game is in the pre-production phase but they were really stressing it this time around due to the license and licensor.
As production begins on the games I have obtained these CG shots of the final Jurassic Park Arcade cabinets, both the “Environmental Sitdown” and the “Motion Deluxe” models. As promised at IAAPA, the final Motion Deluxe design is much closer to the environmental model and both have a completely different art package and dinosaur topper.
Here are some ‘bullshots’ I received of the game which were in a higher resolution but I had to scale them down a little for space.
Thanks to Raw Thrills and Betson for providing the media. If I manage to grab an in-game shots (with the HUD) I will share those as well. The Environmental model is shipping within the next couple of weeks and the motion version will begin shipping in early April according to Betson. Once the Environmental model ships, I will have the opportunity to do an unboxing of it thanks to an operator I work with who is bringing one into my arcade.
What are your thoughts on the game so far?
I like the fact that I hear it reasonably priced. Something we have been needing for the street locations. Anxious to hear your thoughts about it when you get her unboxed. Of course I will check it out in Vegas next month, will likely be buying this piece.
3 arcades in my area might be getting this game! I hope this game isn’t like those Play Mechanix Shooters that end 1 credit in 2 minutes however….
