The arcade industry has been home to many significant and famous developments. The Arcade Heroes Hall of Fame is here to present to you the creations and the people who are deserving of recognition for their contributions to the Business of Fun.
Please note that this is a work-in-progress and will be seeing updates. So if your favorite game or developer isn’t here right now, don’t panic! We are very aware that there are hundreds of people and games that are deserving of recognition for their contributions not only to the arcade business itself, but gaming culture at large. Keep in mind that this is restricted to public pay-for-play type games – it is not referring to the “arcade genre” that permeates search engines for consoles and mobile gaming.
We would also like to include famous locations in this, and noteworthy games post-1986, but those will have to wait for another time. Stay tuned for future updates…
