This news is tempting me in to actually buying Pac Man for XBLA. I own various other copies of it and I’d like to think of myself as a good player, so I might give it a shot. You know how it is with things like this though, you think your good at a game but there’s always someone who is naturally gifted and will literally decimate your score!

In short, beginning next Wednesday, April 25th, the Xbox Live Arcade Pac-Man leaderboards will be erased to provide a clean slate for the tournament. On that date, at 12:01am GMT gamers can visit www.xboxlivetournament.comto register and review rules before they start playing. The top nine players will be flown to New York City for the finals on June 5, with the winner being crowned the Xbox 360 Pac-ManWorld Champion by series creator, Toru Iwatani.
