A sad sight, no matter the reason, seeing a Sega Rally thrown out with the garbage. Now the reason for this being discarded could be viewed in two ways, dependant on your belief in coin-op.
1. The machine has been thrown away because the arcade is dead and no one wants to play machines any more because they have home game systems.
or…2. The machine, after being installed since the local arcade was opened and raked in big revenue, was vandalised so badly that it had to be dumped and replaced with a new driver.
You pick which is the truth. Oh and by the way, funny that I would see this machine just minutes before I was informed of leaks in Japan that Sega may be launching a new Driver at JAMMA?
Surely that’s prime for a rescue attempt and being refurbed?
Bet it is long gone by now!
