Pac-Man has been in a lot of things but this is decidedly the first time I have heard of him having his own text adventure. According to the site, this game came up out of a joke suggesting a cross between the classic text adventure game Zork and Pac-Man. And now it’s a reality with Pac-Txt. The game itself starts out with the following text:
You awaken in a large complex, slightly disoriented. Glowing dots hover mouth level near you in every direction. Off in the distance you hear the faint howling of what you can only imagine must be some sort of ghost or several ghosts.
The game is playable on the website and it’s brilliant if you ask me. I have to wonder if there will be more arcade-based text adventure spin-offs as more people find out about this…
