Speaking of arcade shows (see our AOU post below this one), ASI/AMOA is just around the corner as well in Las Vegas come March and distributor Betson has already sent out a release showcasing some of the titles they plan on bringing there, which also provides us some stills for Guitar Hero Arcade and DDR:X. Big Buck Safari Deluxe will be there too and some redemption games but I wonder why H2Overdrive isn’t on the list yet.  Despite that, I imagine that it will be at the show since that will be very close to it’s release date.  Hit the post break for the run-down from Betson (with some more pictures) or discuss it on the forums.

Intermission

Hollywood Reels, Jennison’s first entry into the redemption market proved to be a big hit. Praised for its attractive presentation and unique gameplay, one might think it was beginners luck. However, one look at Intermission proves that luck had little to do with their initial success.

The theme and gameplay of Intermission takes the players into the Hollywood Reels Movie Theater and right up to the concession stand. Vegas Pusher

Recognizing the need for a lost cost, multi-station coin pusher, Jennison developed a unit could do just that. The result of the design and testing has produced the Vegas Sensation.

Featuring an attractive, neon-lit rotating marquee that can be seen from anywhere in the facility, the six-player Vegas Sensation is designed to attract players. They will quickly notice a flashing light rotating around the roulette playfield at each player station. The player attempts to guide their coins around the pegs and through the green poker chip. Passing a coin through the green poker chip will stop the roulette ball on a ticket value, and the player will receive value. The roulette ball may also stop on the jackpot Bonus whose value is displayed on 3 three-color, dot matrix displays on the marquee.

Finally, the coin will drop onto the pusher playfield. There the proper placement of the coin may create additional ticket rewards when the other coins are pushed off the playfield ledge and into the coin bin, awarding the player additional tickets and adding to the replay value of this stylish piece.
