It’s been a while since we first heard that Konami was thinking about taking their Xbox 360 Kinect title, Dance Masters and turning it into an arcade title. According to a couple of sources, that is now a reality in Japan as Konami has announced a location test for Dance Evolution Arcade at a Round 1 venue there. According to Bemanistyle.com, the game works just the same (as you try and replicate the moves the on-screen characters do) but has some unspecified graphical enhancements added to it. That’s not surprising as I imagine that Konami would be using PC-based hardware of some kind, although an enhanced 360 wouldn’t be out of the question seeing how both the Wii and PS3 have arcade configurations of their hardware out there.
Another question is will Konami bring this overseas? At the moment they seem content to be focusing on DDR for Europe/US but seeing how this would have a fanbase elsewhere due to the console version I think it could be a possibility.
Kinect is USB, and easy to do homebrew for. They probably used that
it looks like 1&2 plus
